This tool shows terrain elevation data from NASA's SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) dataset. Click anywhere on the map to see the elevation at that point. Elevation data is accurate to approximately 30 meters horizontal resolution and 1 meter vertical accuracy. Water bodies and areas without data are indicated in the display.
The data is cached locally for offline use. Once you've viewed an area, you can access the elevation data even without an internet connection.
